Are You A Loner?

Today our son got a surprise birthday party (and we too, we did not know about it). It was nice, kids and some parents were there but for some reason, I just wanted to be by myself with my family. I do not know how to explain it, it is a strange feeling.
I consider myself a social person but there are times that I just like to enjoy time by myself.

Are you a loner? This is a good definition of it:

QUOTE
A loner is a label for a person who shuns human interaction for a variety of reasons. These reasons can range from a lack of certain social skills (such as people with Asperger's Syndrome), misanthropy, excessive rejection from others, or just for a desire to be with oneself. A common psychological term used to describe the personality of loners is introversion. Some individuals refuse to interact with others because of perceived superiority. They wish to only relate to individuals they consider worthy of their time and attention. Therefore, a loner will have very few intimate relationships. Many feel anxious in their presence because they perceive the loner's disdain towards them. It is also common for people to believe them to be arrogant and egotistical.

Does this definition describes you and your interactions with people? And perceptions people has about you?

If you are not a loner, is this how you perceive them?
