British stocks plunge at the open after historic 'Brexit' result
The main stock index, the FTSE 100, nosedived 8.7% to 5,790 points shortly after the open Friday. The British pound, which trades around the clock, has plunged to a 31-year low at $1.3706. Ref. USAToday.
