THE stepson of a San Juan dry goods wholesaler, Richard Deleon, and his friend, Rodney Rambarran, were kidnapped, but so far none of the ransom demands have been made to the businessman.

The two friends have been released. It is not clear whether a ransom was paid or not, but they were treated for injuries at the hospital.

| ONE day after two men were kidnapped, they were released by their abductors. Richard DeLeon and Rodney Rambaran were dropped off in the lower Santa Cruz area around 10.30 p.m. on Monday. Both men, who were beaten by their abductors, were treated at hospital and then allowed to go home. Police are still investigating the motive behind the kidnappings and are working on the theory that the kidnappers are related to one of the victims.
