Tonight on 'Nightline' - Tuesday, April 24, 2007:
A black man is beaten in the Texas night, his unconscious body dumped in a ditch. Four young white men are charged with the crime and found guilty but got just 30 to 60 days in the county jail. The victim, Billy Ray Johnson, was mentally disabled before the beating, and now faces an even more limited life. Tonight Jim Avila reports on the extraordinary struggle for true justice for Billy Ray Johnson, and on the efforts of the small Texas town where the crime occurred to atone.
