Do you bruise easily? I am suffering of this for some years now and tomorrow I am going to the doctor for a check up. I wake up with bruises on my legs sometimes or discover ones that I have no clue how I got. Yesterday, I hit my leg on my bed (not too hard) and now I have this huge dark bruise and it hurts! (not to mention it looks horrible).
Any ideas on what maybe causing this?

changes in bruising can be attributed to a change in capillary strength or lack of Vitamin C. |
Thanks Vincenzo and Diane, I will keep you all update as to what the doctor says today. I read that is also related aging as the skin becomes thiner as you get older, but I am only 32! I do not think is that, maybe I am lacking some vitamins. It is frustrating because when I wear skirts I see these horrible bruises on my legs, I just can't stand it. The one I have right now is huge, I don't recall having one as big as this one.
Rather off topic, but... I am glad it happens on my legs at least, if it would happen on my face, I am sure people will think I am a victim of domestic violence, ![]() |
I went to the doctor and he said it is nothing to worry about. It is hereditary, since my sister and grandmother also have that problem. He just said to take some vitamins to reinforce my system but there is nothing really I can do about it.
For many year I suffered from terrible nose bleeds due to weak capillaries.
Gelatin and L-Arginine might help as they both help strengthen the walls. I helped me.
Besides there's always room for Jello!
