Substituting Story Names With Real Ones
A brother gave a talk on Sunday and as part of a story he read he used himself and another Brother in Church in place of the names that were in the story. This added a bit of laughter in the congregation, but I did note that it got everyone's attention. Do you think this is an effective method in talks?

Oh yes, because suddenly people become interested in the story because in their minds is about "Brother or sister such and such". It is a very good method to get their attention although it has a downfall...sometimes what is shared can be embarrassing to the other individual, so I think the persons involved should know in advance and not be taken by surprise.
