Madonna.com
This is not really about Madonna.com the domain itself, but the problem that arose some time ago when it was being used for porn. Madonna the singer won this case and got the domain, but I wonder, should she have exclusive rights over it just because she is popular?

Shouldn't we all have exclusive rights to our name on the internet? The problems arise when more than one person has the same name - as an example, country singer Keith Urban recently was having the same conflict with an artist/painter who shares his name.
In Madonna's case, her name is actually a kind of trademark for her as a celebrity. Particularly if a website with her name on it was selling porn, I think she was justified in going after it to make it stop.
It depends, if two people share the same name..let's say one is a celebrity and the other is your average Joe, I don't think the celebrity should be entitled to more privileges just because he/she is a celebrity. Now, if it is a unique name and someone is using my name for porn for instance then I think I should have a right over that name.
