CELL PHONES LIGHT UP OPERATING ROOM DURING BLACKOUT

The light from the cell phone screens allowed surgeons to complete an emergency appendix operation during a blackout in a city in central Argentina, reports said on Saturday.

Wow! What a scary moment! I am glad they were able to finish the operation successfully. I do not want to even imagine what would have happened if it was a more complicated procedure.

Finally, this apparently useless feature has come of some use! I agree with you LDS, guess they were lucky that they were not performing any complicated surgery.... Even the thought is scary...
