Advanced Micro Devices Inc has filed an antitrust suit charging that Intel Corp, its chief rival, used everything from threats to kickbacks in illegally building the world's largest
computer-chip business.

Being that they already won a suit in Japan, I would guess that their allegations are true. AMD has to do something now that Apple is going to move from the motorola chips to Intel chips as well. Dell also signed another contract to be exclusive with Intel recently as well. If they are doing it incorrectly, by threats and other illegal activities, then they have to be stopped.
This is the first time I have heard about the allegations against Intel, but nowadays I would not doubt it. It seems that so many companies have taken very illegal routes to get what they want. I have to say that I have a Pentium myself, but I really like AMD. But I fear what might happen to them with Intel taking over so many markets. With the cooperation with Apple, I have no clue what will happen to AMD, but hopefully they stay alive.
