Jury Selection

Is Jury Selection as complicated or complexed or as detailed as is demonstrated in the movie "Runaway Jury"? Now the movie has only been used as reference, I am mostly interested in whether all that manipulation is innvolved using technology to find jurors.

I am not sure, I thought they were selected randomly? I would love to be called as a juror one day, I think it may be an exciting opportunity particularly in high-profile cases.
