You can say I'm different, I mean like I am not the typical quite molly mormon in the corner and sometimes I feel that because I am this way some of the other sisters think I'm not worthy or something. This is who I am and didnt Jesus say we have to love everyone?

What makes you think the sisters feel that way about you? Personally, I am very outspoken and definitly I am not Caroline Ingalls from the Little House on the Prairie. laugh.gif Nevertheless, that's me and I think we should embrace our uniqueness. Nothing wrong with being different. As long as you love yourself and you respect others, being different is part of being a special daughter of Zion.

I would guess that most of the sisters are not looking down on you.

But, if one or two are, I wouldn't take it too personally. One of the purposes of the church is to strengthened who we are. Sometimes we will face persecution out of the church, and sometimes unfortunately, because people are human we may face persecution inside the church. Use that strength that I see that you already have and strengthen who you are. If you feel someone judging you, show an outpouring of love to that person because of their weakness. They are in need of love also, and it may surprise you how a kind word may change their view. You have helped two people and have strengthened your own character in the process.

Elder Bednar spoke of members who leave the Church because of feelings of being offended and such. While he did not condemn those for FEELING offended (and I certainly believe people can feel justly offended by others), he did chastise such members for allowing this offense (wrong or right) stand in the way between them and the Lord. For while our feelings may be just, if we allow the offense to stop us from partaking of the Lord's supper, we solely condemn ourselves.

Last week we had a person who swore she would never return to Church because of her belief that one of the leaders had greatly offended her. She could not countenance that he might lead the local Saints. She withdrew from the sacrament meeting as it commenced, and I doubt that she will be back.

Even if that leader is wrong, she only hurts herself.
