Mandate?

Hardly. At the time Glenn talked about it on the air Barack Obama had about 62 million votes to John McCain's 55 million. In 2004 George W. Bush collected 62 million votes (to Kerry's 59 million) -- actually a higher turnout than this year. As the final returns come in, it could pass the total---but either way this is not some super mandate for Barack Obama. The media, however, will sell that load of bull all day long.
