I was informed years ago during a school lesson that it is ok to eat bread that has gone slightly mouldy as there is nothing harmful in the mould.-I'm not sure whether I agree with that or not, and don't personally like the idea of eating mouldy bread, whether it be toasted or not!

You know what? If a doctor himself showed me evidence that it was okay to eat moldy bread and/or cheese, I still wouldn't eat it! Its just disgusting! If it shouldn't be green/white/black then I'm not eating it. But by all means, go right ahead and chow down! Uck!

I will eat the bread if it is just starting to turn, but even then it must be toasted well. I will not eat it at all if it is green - safe or not.

YOU know the feeling - you get some bread out of cupboard and it's got a tiny speck of mould on it. When is it safe to cut it off and keep going? Ref. Source 3
