Wasilla father accused of killing his 6-month-old daughter

| PALMER -- In a Palmer courtroom Tuesday, a Wasilla-area man faced charges that he murdered his infant daughter over the weekend. Burton Naczi, 22, is accused of second-degree murder and manslaughter in the death of Kaydence Lewinski, who died just a week shy of being 6 months old. According to charging documents, the baby was brought to Mat-Su Regional Hospital on Saturday by her mother, Stephanie Lewinski, 19. The child had extensive bruising over most of her body, including her face. In an attempt to save her, surgery was performed to relieve pressure and swelling on her brain. Naczi, after originally telling state troopers and Lewinski that he had fallen down stairs with the child, said he had shaken the baby and thrown her on a couch. He told troopers she became limp and unresponsive, the charging documents said. |

It makes me sick when you read things like "shaken and thrown on the couch" like the baby was some kind of doll. Then the fact he tried to say he fell down the stairs to cover it up. I just wonder whats going on inside the mind of someone who has the anger enough to do that or similiar things. It is sad, in my opinion.

Daughter -month-old Killing Accused Father
Some are just not ready for the responsibility of parenthood. What is worst is they will not be ready ever until they resolve issues of anger management or arrest psychological issues stemming from childhood where they were probably treated that way too. Thankfully at least the child's neck was not broken or something worst.

The child was airlifted to Providence Hospital in Anchorage, where she was placed on life support. She died Sunday at 4:50 p.m. When it was determined she wouldn't live, her organs were harvested for donations. |
