It may have to do with a couple of things:

1. He is a big fan of any good looking woman

2. Her husband, Kanye West, has the ear of the president already so she may be just delivering the message.

Either way Trump loves being in the highlight for good or bad. It would be nice to know what was actually discussed.

True. Trump usually likes to focus on the messenger rather than the message so it isn't a surprise to me that he likes this kind of coverage. I also want to know what was said and WHY her, aren't there more knowledgeable people around that could discuss this?

Daishain, Kim is much better to look at. We never know the reason for everything, we only see the face value of everything that comes from the White House- there is always more to these stories / visits. Even if she was there to ask for a pardon on behalf of a death row inmate it could show some favoritism about who the president is willing to entertain at his office.
