NBC Will Not Thank Troops
If you have not heard... NBC Will Not 'Thank US Troops' in Iraq / Afghanistan by rejecting an ad saying 'Thank You' by many people. NBC's chairman seems to have an Anti-war stance. What are your thoughts?

Are you saying that people put together an ad to Thank our troops and NBC will not air it?
*I am sorry -I meant "our" as in the US troops and I know that does not apply to everyone. I guess it would be "the US troops"

It's not just people but an organization and NBC has no problem to air the ad as long as the web site address of the organization is not displayed in the ad.

They do not want to display it because the organization is way too political and if they air it, it would mean they are (NBC) supporting the war in Iraq and seems they do not want to do such thing (their right). In my opinion, since NBC is selling advertisement space they have the right to accept or deny what they want to display in their network.

They are a private company and they are entitled to accept or denying advertising as they please. I can understand why they wouldn't want to be seen as supporting the war.
However, I don't see how an ad, which clearly labels itself as being from an organisation separate to NBC, would lead ordinary citizens to believe that the broadcaster supports the war.
Broadcasters are by law forced to run political ads at times, especially in the lead up to elections. I'm not sure where this type of advertising fits in but it appears to be separate.
