1,300 RATS OVERWHELM MAN'S HOME
A man who had 1,300 rats removed from his home by animal control officers said that he originally bought several as pets, but that they were "a force of nature" that soon bred out of control.

That clip doesn't tell you the true story. Read the entire story you find that he bought one to feed his snake, then felt bad for it as it squealed. He rescued it and it became his pet. After learning to like rats, he bought another one and they began to bred. After a while it just got out of control. He had rats six high in cages as well as many out of cages! All because his conscience got the best of him and he couldn't let the rat die.
This is similar to a case of a man in England who worked for a pest control company, he was hired to exterminate the rats, but felt so guilty that he turned his bathroom into a safe haven for them. He soon had many more to look after.
I guess there's no accounting for taste!
