When I went to a regional conference with work, I sat through a workshop for Cyber Chase, and I have fallen in love with it. It is a cartoon series created by PBS aimed at children to help them with math. It makes learning math fun. They have episodes where these three children, along with the help of Digit (a mechanical bird) are trying to save Cyberland from Hacker (voice of Christopher Lloyd) who keeps trying to get rid of Motherboard. The kids are put in situations where they have to use logic and math skills in order to save Cyberland and Mother Board.
I know many of you who have children may not have access to the cartoons, but they do have a website. The website has games on it that incorporate math skills, and it also has a page that gives you activity ideas.

I may be too old for this, but I really love PBS. I watch that if I'm watching television and it's not either the History channel or one of the Discovery channels that I thankfully get.
The only problem I have with this is these darn kids are WAY better at math than I am! You should have seen me in Statistics, it was pathetic! This is a great show for children, I think they do show it in some classrooms around here for the visual aspect of learning.
