Men Vs Women Drivers

I decided to start this thread based on a conversation I had recently with a friend of mine. My friend claims that an international survey was done last year and this particular survey highlights women as "the road hogs" and not the men. He explained that the men are more inclined to give other motorists a chance whereas, women do not. Of course, I did not believe him until I have recently witnessed my spouse being at the receiving end from women who drive recklessly including almost killing my spouse, by forcing him to drive completely off the road and almost into a ditch, just to avoid getting into an accident.

I did research on my own and I never found this particular survey that my friend was talking about but I did discover the following:

This link indicates that women are beginning to show more aggressive driving and road rage, just like their male counterparts:

This link declares women as better drivers than men:

This final link debates and reveals statistics about if people prefer to be driven by a male or female driver.

Based on your own personal experience, would you prefer to be driven by a male or female driver? Who do you consider to be a better driver, men or women?

Drivers Women Men

In All my experience I find that men are the better drivers over women. Men follow the rules of the road a lot more than women. Give you all a experiment to try. Set you cruise control at 5 mph or 3-5 kph over the limit. Watch the cars that pass you. I bet 80-90% of the time it will be a woman.

Of all the accidents I have investigated it usually was caused by a woman. I would say 65% of the time it was. I find that women as they drive are very aggressive and do not follow the rules hardly at all. They turn unexpectly and if they are on a cell phone watch out because they do not pay attention to anything else on the road besides their call.

Men Vs Women Drivers Reviews Consumer & Travel Family Culture

Biking to work I do notice women tend to not see me and I think there is a good reason. Men go by me they look to be heading straight to work were as the ladies seem to have children on board and are not looking very content.

I think Mothers still feel the natural way of things that they need to be there for the children and ensure they are where they need to be and try to squeeze all that into a routine along with getting to work. Stress I am sure is a major player, 20 things on their mind to get done before even considering they are now late or running behind because the children would not just get in and be ready to go.

My wife drove school bus for a few years and swore women in minivans should be removed from the road. Distracted children not belted in applying make up the whole nine yards.

I will toss this idea out even though I will get some strong responses I am sure. Men are operating from logic and goals orientation. result we plan and give more time to do what is required. Women tend to be driven by emotions ... Emotions and driving are just a bad combination as it results in rasher decisions in judgment. This is way to far in generalization but I think it might be some of the contributing factors.
