Is this supposed to read-
Is the Creator always greater than the creation?
I can not think of a case in which the creation is greater overall, but when you think of computers for instance, they may be created by man, but they sure can do math quicker than I ever will. That does not make them greater than me, just better in math. The computer lacks many of my qualities in order to become “greater”. Then you would also have to define greatness (does it mean power, inteligence, spiritual or physical greatness?)
The short answer is a resounding, "NO!"
Example: C.S Lewis started writing his Narnia stories for the benefit of his grandchildren. Many years later, movies were made, TV series were likewise made, and millions of readers took the stories to heart.
Example: Edgar Allan Poe wrote his prose and poetry as a need to express himself. The fact of his fame came after his death (though he was acclaimed in life as well).
Should we look at the big guy? God? I don't want to go there, because religious denominations are so diverse as to make any attempt hazardous.
The original question, "Is the creator always greater than the creation"?
I don't believe so, because the creation merely indulges the further ideals, ideas, and imaginations of the beholder.
