When attacking, the message "You will be destroyed off the face of the earth!" Can not be changed. Under the message, it first reads 200 characters remain. When I try to change it, it changes to 160 characters remain, but no matter where I mouse click to move the cursor, I can neither backspace nor delete, and typing has no effect.

Rather off topic, but... Guess it doesn't really matter, though... The size of my army speaks quite another message all on its own:

That is because it is disabled for players to input anything there due to spam. The way I planned it is that if you wanted to 'rant' then you could do so via the Forum, here or at LDS-Doctrine's Boards: Source 3

Advanced armor is not enabled yet, hence you cannot buy anything in that field. The only advantage in the game is that those who donate get back their turns at twice the rate.

Oh, ok. That also makes sense why you have so much money, and I don't.

Is the % payout how much the citizens pay me in taxes, or how much they receive? Is higher or lower better in their eyes?

Not necessarily, it could be that I'm a better strategist however many of the questions you have can be found by reading the Threads that explain game play: Source 3 and Ruler of Kings which has similar rules but more detailed: Source 6

I'm sorry, I just didn't see anything referencing "% payout" in any of the RoK sites, nor any threads here. If it is part of the game to figure out, that is fine, but it is frustrating that I somehow lost 90 turns trying to figure out what it is, and still don't know.

The reason I am trying to figure this out is because of the message:

I realize that this likely gives other players (you) an advantage over me, but I never expected to win this game anyway, having started late.

So, what do these things mean?

Also, the "Peasant Morale"' link (which would seem to be useful in my situation), when selected, shows me information about my troops' morale, which is doing just fine, thank you very much.

I know I have answered this before, but I will be brief here about it:

Payout represents the % of gold you wish to give your people. The more peasants you have the more gold they will want from you. Learning how to manage that is an art in itself. Therefore you can start with a low payout and if they start to rebel make sure to give them a higher payout.

Troop morale is measured by weapons you have and wine. Once they are well equipped they will not leave you.

You are too funny, I just play, if I am on top or not it is all good.

Rather off topic, but... You might want to try World War 2 - Germany 1939 - MMORPG where the style is similar but definitely not entirely the same. Those guys there are very competitive and they have me in fifth place! Also check your Intro Thread for replies.
