I just read the news. As usual, I think he is lying again. His story that he killed her because she opened his notebook and saw of his involvement in the Natalee Holloway case does not make any sense. It was reported yesterday that the body of the victim was found without her pants (only her underwear), her money was missing so it's not strange to me to theorize that he killed her for the money she won at the casino that night.

He is a known gambler and never had a job. On top of all this, he is known for lying. In the Holloway case he gave LOTS of different stories.

This guy is a sicko and enjoys every second in the spotlight.

The FBI is in real trouble because they knew about this extortion for a long time yet they allowed Joran to travel up and down and now he killed a woman.

Wow the more I hear about this the more is seems soo unreal. I wonder just what role he actually did play in the Holloway case.

The FBI did have him on extortion that is for sure, but they were looking for a murder case. They needed a body for that and that was what they were holding out for and didn't arrest him for extortion. His confession taped meant very little as he has said tons of different things...this would just have been another one of them. They needed this story of his and a body to nail him. He gave them a taped worthless confession for $25k and left for Peru. Basically, both parties were playing each other...Juran felt it and bolted for Peru. Anything comes back to him and he can say the confession for Holloway was a lie just like the burial site. This kid isn't totally stupid and the FBI was really doing this to recover the body and put the case to rest for everyone...they just didn't have enough evidence.

With all the stories abound, I kinda see something like this:

He initially did hook up with Stephany and fully had intent on celebrating with her winnings. They get a bit more comfortable. She peeks into his laptop... This is the part that really has me wondering what is on the laptop...because she could just use any laptop to get info on him on the internet...but he really gets upset that she uses his laptop. He catches her...she confronts him (I am thinking there might be some incriminating evidence or emails...we know from the Holloway case that he does like to communicate/tease investigators and reporters on the Holloway murder), she wants to leave (maybe calling him a murderer), he tries to stop her and ends up killing her.

I really don't think he had it planned. He then goes into escape mode (takes her winnings for road cash) and gets caught and shipped back. The escape is totally amateur. All he does is buy time to get to Chile...he has to know that all arrows point to him as well as the body he left behind.

Now he did originally say that he went out for stuff and came back and caught her on his laptop, but I haven't heard of video backing this convenience store run. However, that would have been a good time for her to snoop around in that small cramped room. Not a whole lot else to do there other than maybe watch some TV.

I would really love for the prosecutors to scrub that computer clean. This guy was pretty pleased with himself for getting away with it one time. I cannot help but think there is something on the computer (or was that needs to be recaptured). If she saw something where he was detailing or commenting on the Holloway murder, he would panic. The one thing that this kid knows for sure is that an absence of a body is golden. To kill a girl in your hotel room, under your name, leaving her there, really goes against this totally. This kid liked to be the one to tell people (because they were so interested in him) what he did to her after stringing them along. He really didn't like to be confronted with accusations about what he did and didn't handle them well at all.

He has also been linked to the trafficking of women to the netherlands as sex slaves. Was there some nice evidence of this on his computer that she found? While not stupid, the kid is sick and I just bet there is/was some evidence of it on his computer.

I look at him more as a life long hustler that is willing to play some dangerous games for the payoff. Those games are more so with the others life than his own. I think that we will see that or we will find out that he is a serial killer with a longer history than we currently know. Either way, he is gonna play the Holloway card for a better cell in Peru. Because if he doesn't, after he is done in Peru...he might get a trip to the US as well.

I hear you loud and clear Vincenzo, however the the story of the laptop I don't believe it's true.I think he is lying once again. I think the night of the murder is the night when they met for the first time, I find it odd that she would peak into his computer. Personally I think this crime was planned, he did not have any money with him left because he has a gambling addiction and when he saw she was winning so much money, he saw it as the perfect opportunity.

I believe at first he planned to steal it but she put on a fight and he killed her.
