More Burger Value
Fast-food chains cutting prices on premium items
Perhaps the most noticeable example of the more-food-for-less strategy is the appearance on more dollar menus of the double cheeseburger, long a staple of the regular menu and combination meals. Unlike the value-and dollar-menu regulars - a small order of fries or "junior" version of a larger burger - the double cheeseburger is a more marquee, and more expensive, choice.

The basic McDonalds burger is just that---basic!
In my opinion, it is cheap but tasteless!
Whereas the more expensive burgers actually seem to be improving quite well, and McDonalds seem to be quite committed to giving more choice.
I can't speak for the others, as I rarely if ever use them.
I see it this way.
If you want size then you go to Burger King.
If you want taste then you go to McDonalds.
If you want something small got to Wendys.
I see value meals as a way to get fatter so I just buy what I need and no more extras, for instance just the burger without the fries.
I tend to try to stay away form the fast food burger joints because of the added ingredients they do not tell you about. Especially Mc Donalds. Having antibiotics added into my food is contributing to the creation of a supervirus.
I find all the value menu burgers to be tasteless and not worth buying.
See told you I did not eat healthy you can see that in my figure.
But back to the topic. I think that many fast food restaurants are trying to hook you into coming into their chain with the dollar menus hoping that you will not order that but some of their premium sandwiches
