Soldiers In Crime

There are a number of cases in which Trinidad & Tobago Regiment Soldiers were involved in serious crimes from armed robbery, kidnapping and even murder. What are your thoughts about why the protective servicemen are involved in such criminal acts?

Maybe being legal gun handlers makes them think they have the skills to now commit crime. Or maybe we have men who are already criminals joining the forces to gain skills to commit crime. Today one was arrested for a robbery attempt in Central.

Interesting because the Government is thinking about giving these soldiers power to arrest as well (just like the police). spock.gif

Most military forces are looking to young men and women to join their ranks. SOme of these forces do not care about the background of a soldier just the warm body to place in a uniform. This is a prime example of what happens when you are just looking for warm bodies. If they are given the power of arrest then I think your little country is gonna suffer greatly.
