John Chollett Outlaw

John Chollett OUTLAW

Name: Rchollet

Comments: Does somebody know who were the parents of John Chollett OUTLAW who was born on Trinidad in about 1811 ? His mother's maiden name possibly was CHOLLET or CHOLLETT.
John got married in Canterbury/Kent/England before moving to Illinois where he had at least 4 children:
- Mary Ann ca 1851
- Fanny ca 1853
- Andrew ca 1856
- Emma ca 1859

Thank you in advance for any information.

John Chollett Outlaw Reviews Consumer & Travel Family Culture

Name: Rchollet

Comments: I have data from the US 1860 Census (Sugar Grove, Kane Co, Illinois) mentioning his birth on Trinidad (his wife is born in England and his 4 children in Illinois).
I am also waiting on a copy of his marriage certificate (1839 in Canterbury, Kent, England) which will most probably give me the name of his wife and of his father.
Further I am waiting on copies of documents from the UK National Archives concerning:
- John Chollett OUTLAW, born Trinidad, West Indies, served in 11th Dragoons, discharged aged 29 (period 1837-1845).

I would like to precise that OUTLAW is his surname and the surname of his father and children and should thus appear in capital letters (as I typed it, no idea why it appears in small letters on my PC).

John Chollett OUTLAW married Karenhappuck ANDREWS in 1839 in Canterbury, Kent, England.
His father was given as John OUTLAW, merchant.
I still don't know who was his mother. She might have been a CHOLLETT of Trinidad.

Outlaw Chollett John

Name: Reynold

Title: John Chollett Outlaw

Comments: Regarding Ann Undermore or Undermouse , it is a wrong transcription. Her correct name is Ann Underwood. She witnessed (with Oliver Underwood, unknown relationship) the marriage of John Chollett Outlaw and Karenhappuck Andrews in 1839. No idea what was her relationship with groom and bride. She is in Canterbury/Kent with Karenhappuck on the England 1841 Census (John Chollett Outlaw being in the Army at that time). She is alone (widowed) in Canterbury/Kent on the England 1851 Census. She appears again (widowed, in Sugar Grove, Kane, IL) with John Chollett Outlaw's family on the US 1860 Census.
