Tobago and Trinidad Charles Prince

My thoughts are simple: Who cares? rolleyes.gif Is he going to help the crime situation? Is he going to do anything concerning food prices? If he isn't, then is another guy coming to the country who will be treated with red carpet and a lot of ceremonial stuff, take a few pics and then go back home. *yawn*

Nice to see them here, maybe that will boost confidence in security but I rather see his boys instead wink.gif.

Tobago and Trinidad Charles Prince

I saw Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla on CNC3 news tonight. They both looked bored, hot and bothered. I felt sorry for the school kids who all waited to catch a glimpse of the Prince. They all voiced their disappointment because all they saw was Camilla's hand waving at them. Some even mention that they wanted to see the Prince and not just a hand. The reporter, Odika O'Neil indicated that Prince Charles acknowledged the press by waving his finger. Hmmm waving his finger? I hope this does not mean that he was "flipping the bird" at our reporters! laugh.gif

Tobago and Trinidad Charles Prince

I watched the news very anxiously tonight, expecting to learn more about Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. I am very pleased to see that the children had the opportunity of shaking hands with the Prince and Duchess too. Of course, the kids were thrilled about this! One girl excitedly told the press that, she did not intend to wash "this hand" (the one that Prince Charles shook) ever again! I really felt so happy that they finally got the opportunity to see and shake his hand.

The most embarrassing part of today was, the Prince's and Duchess' visit to UWI. Unfortunately, UWI decided to do a skit concerning saving the environment. The camera focused on Prince Charles and his countenance reflected someone who was quite alarmed and confused about what was taking place. The skit itself made us look so primitive and the language used, I am sure they royal couple did not understand what they were saying!

And finally, there was the visit to Staubles Bay. They took the royal couple to a balcony, where they could see a live demonstration of how our coast guards intended to defeat the drug smugglers. The skit itself was well planned and looked very realistic. Except for the part when the drug smugglers were actually caught! We all know that the relevant authorities are never prepared or quick enough, to capture these criminals! laugh.gif
