From the dense darkness all you can plausibly hear is muffled footsteps.

They seem to come gently towards you from your front then your side when suddenly behind you...

"Hold it up that I may look..."

You notice a hot and heavy torch now adorns your host's hand. The light shines brilliantly and shones on everything with the radiance of a great campfire.

Dark Scribe was never one to be rushed or hastened as I believed that to do such limits thought and one is likely to make unwise choices.

"Such a hasty, emotional little man as thyself will know."

DarkScribe walks over to what seems to be a curious mantle or altar of sorts. He then, with the adjustment of certain items, creates as it were a symbol and then with the sound of stone against stone a secret passage is revealed. He disappears into it.

The little man now confused looks frantically, then suddenly he hears...

"Come then..."

Looks a bit confused, "Come where?", looking about no apparent door or hole to go some where. With a look that might pass as hope, "Are we be leaving here?"

Being familiar with having visions he focuses on the voice, while keeping a subconscious awareness of the actual space he is in. Confidence in his safety is assured since the little man is so puny.
