Dave Cooper, an elaborate hijacker, pulled off a stunt by holding everyone on a plane at ransom, getting the FBI to give him $200,000 and then jumping from the plane in mid air. What do you think happened to Dave Cooper? What are your thoughts?

It seems that some FBI special agents have recently found some leads on this case by obtaining the actual parachute that Dave Cooper used to escape the plane.

I actually believe that DB Cooper died as a result of his jump. Of the 4 parachutes he was given, one was a deactivated training chute and likely would have fail had he used this one. The other thing that makes me think he actually did die, is that none of the money has been used (some was found near the banks of a river - about $5000), but none of it has ever shown up in the way of normal purchases. If he was going to risk his life for the money, I am sure he had a purpose for it. Obviously, he has never gotten to fulfilling that purpose.

If he died then wouldn't someone else have found the money unless he died in the ocean, but he obviously did not jump near one. In that report I saw the FBI agent seemed to feel that he made an escape.

I think he has made good his escape. I believe he has not spent any of the money as of yet becasue he is sitting on it somewhere. Granted he lost some of it but he still has plenty. I believe he made his way to Canada. From there I feel he hada plan to go to his final place. Where that is I have no idea.
