Indra Gangabissoon

Indra Gangabissoon Murder Case.

I was especially saddened by the murder of Indra Gangabissoon who was beaten to death by a criminal who sought her pension. Indra Gangabissoon's husband was also beaten but survived. On Crime Watch (TV6) one of the daughters commented that the crime happened on the couple's anniversary.

Comments: The personn who killed the pensioner most likely did this for money to buy drugs. What is the Police doing to curb drug trafficking. What about the "Mr BIG". They are given accolades and are featured as good boys in the newapapers. Get the [insert names here], etc. They own banks and laundering millions of dollars.
I overheard a trafficker is getting drugs cheaply in T&T because it is plentiful. Get the big drug dealers. Make drug trafficking penalty equal to first-degree murder. To stop or lower murders, drugs must be stopped now. If the govt. Does not do this, or do not have the will to do this, call early elections!
Is the present gov't. And Police serious about illegal drugs?

I was shocked and in tears when I heard about this case. I wonder if the victim commented about getting her pension to someone (no offense but older folks do that a lot and there are so many evil people out there!). I hope they catch whoever did this and get punish with what he/she deserves (death penalty).

A family member picked them up, took them to the bank to get their pension and then to their home. They were obviously being watched. Usually one of their daughters visits them with lunch but she was a little late because of a telephone call that kept her back. She was being hard on herself for not reaching her parents sooner. Crime Watch showed a photo of Indra Gangabissoon's face... You could not see her eyes... There were just two big bulging black circles, her lips were swollen and there were tubes coming out of her neck.

$50,000 Reward for Indra Gangabissoon's Killers

The reward has been placed through Crime Stoppers and advertised in the daily newspapers, but with little result. Last weekend, the family paid for a billboard to be erected along the Solomon Hochoy Highway, on which thousands of commuters travel daily. Ref. Source 2

So far, there are no arrests on this case and no leads. The husband of Indra, never recovered from his injuries and died last Monday. Where is justice in this country when nobody has been detained or arrested in connection with this horrible crime!

Too bad. I first saw this case on Ian Alleyne and he was ranting about having some leads. An unfortunate state of affairs to have two criminals running around free with the possibility of duplicating this heinous act on other helpless people.

Comments: It is sad it has been over a year and no one has been arrested in the murder of Indra GangaBissoon. I just saw her picture in your featured case spotlight. [In my opinion] The police screwed up this case from the very beginning. This was not about a robbery. Someone wanted this woman dead. The police should have been focusing on that and perhaps they might have gotten somewhere. I have seen the Crime Stoppers Billboards in Charlieville and St. Mary's Junction with the reward for information on her murder. What more could anyone ask for/ No wonder crimes do not get solved in T&T. The police is always looking for the easy way out. Why is the murder rate increasing?
