Mom Helping Son With Down Syndrome Lose Virginity

What do you all think about this adoptive mother who created a page to find a woman who can become the girlfriend of her son and have sex with him?

QUOTE
A mother is appealing for women to have sex with her adopted Down syndrome son.

Lucy Baxter, of Abingdon, Oxfordshire in southern England, says she will even pay for a prostitute so he can lose his virginity.

The mother has now set up a Web page for her son, Otto, appealing for potential dates to come forward.

Baxter has three other adopted sons with Down syndrome and works with Mencap, the U.K.'s leading charity for people with disabilities.

"I'd like all my boys to find love and enjoy sex," she said. "I always look at what other people are doing and why shouldn't they do the same things?

"I strongly believe, and have always said, that society has a learning disability when it comes to Down syndrome," she continued. "If he doesn't get a girlfriend, I will feel really bad, because I have sold him this thing that he is like everybody else. That's why I'm working overtime to get this sorted for him."

You can't get more sick than that. What I want to know is what does she propose to do when he wants a second, third time, etc.? I'm definitely not advocating this, but even if you really wanted that for your adopted son why would you do it publicly? One would think this is something you would want to be as discreet about as possible. There seems to be some kind of ulterior motive.

Thus the solution is putting a public ad out there for him to lose his virginity? spock.gif That makes sense.

The problem arises right here:

So she told her own son who has Down Syndrome that he is like everybody else when he is obviously not. So now this man thinks he is like the rest of guys out there and cannot figure out why he does not have a girlfriend. *sigh*

We decided to let our special needs son know that he is autistic and what that means and that includes that his needs are not "like everybody else".

Regardless to whether he is or is not like everyone else what does virginity have to do with that? I must be really out of the social structure to think that it is a requirement to be like everyone else. What happened to uniqueness? I guess if virginity is the answer to becoming like everyone else then all virgins out there including those who are keeping themselves because of religious (like Catholics) or virtuous standards should feel unaccepted and unable to integrate into society because they have to announce their virginity wherever they go.

I can understand her heart aching watching her son desire the love of a woman (not just sex). This is ridiculous however, how is he going to learn the value of a loving relationship with a lady this way? She need to rethink her ethics on this one.

I think this is disgusting. If a person can't figure out how to have sex on their own and they are mentally disabled, they aren't ready to handle the task and the emotions and factors that come with it. I can understand this mom thinks she is helping her son to live a normal life, but he is not ready to handle sex and everything that comes with it. He can join a dating site or go other places if he wants to meet girls. It is strange that his mom is trying to find him sex, I bet she'll end up paying someone to have sex with him.
