Report: Planned Parenthood Groups Engage in Medicaid Fraud

A report released today by two leading pro-life organizations alleges more Planned Parenthood affiliates have engaged in fraud than the ones that have already become public knowledge and part of an investigation of the abortion business by Congress.

Today the Alliance Defense Fund and the Susan B. Anthony List released a new report to Congress identifying waste, abuse, and potential fraud by Planned Parenthood. ADF attorneys prepared the report to aid Congress in its investigation of the nation's leading abortion business.

The report alleges that millions of dollars of waste, abuse, and potential fraud have been revealed in state and federal audits across the country. It identifies twelve types of potential fraud being committed by Planned Parenthood affiliates nationwide, including fraudulent billing and reimbursement by Title XIX agencies for medications and/or services provided in connection with an abortion, illegal under federal law.

The billing violations include billing in excess of actual acquisition cost or other statutorily approved cost of contraceptives and Plan B products as well as inappropriately billing for services that were not medically necessary, billing for multiple initial prenatal care visits, and incorrectly billing initial, follow-up, and postpartum services. Abby Johnson Sues Planned Parenthood, Claims $6M in Fraud

Former Planned Parenthood abortion facility director Abby Johnson has filed a whistleblower lawsuit against the abortion business claiming its Texas affiliate knowingly sent in about $6 million in false claims to Medicaid and covered up its actions.

The federal whistleblower lawsuit was unsealed on Friday and alleges that Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast submitted more than 87,000 reimbursement claims for services that were "false, fraudulent, and/or ineligible." The Alliance Defense Fund filed the lawsuit for Johnson, also a LifeNews blogger, in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas in Houston.

The formerly sealed federal "whistleblower" suit against Planned Parenthood was made public Friday and was filed in 2009 by the Alliance Defense Fund on behalf of Johnson.

Johnson had 'system-wide" access to Planned Parenthood files, billing records and information for two years and said she filed the lawsuit 'to simply expose Planned Parenthood and expose their corruption, and expose what they are doing with American tax dollars." Ref. Source 1

Obama Praises Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz in New Video

President Barack Obama has released a new video in which he praises the nation's largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood, which is a prime endorser of his presidential re-election campaign.

"For you and for most Americans, protecting women's health is a mission that stands above politics," President Obama says in a video message for the Planned Parenthood Action Fund. "And yet over the past year we"ve had to stand up to politicians who wanted to deny millions of women the care they rely on and inject themselves into the decisions that are best made between a woman and her doctor."

"Let's be clear here, women are not an interest group. They"re mothers, and daughters, and sisters, and wives. They"re half of this country and they"re perfectly capable of making their own choices about their health," Obama says. Ref. Source 4

Planned Parenthood, Pro-Abortion Group Get Porn Biz Donation

A porn studio in California has selected a pro-abortion research group formerly affiliated with the Planned Parenthood abortion business as a recipient of its donation.

Girlfriends Films operates a monthly charity program that has made donations to legitimate community groups but also to the Planned Parenthood abortion business. Now, the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute was selected to receive a gift of $1,000 from the porn studio.

"Four decades after its creation, the Guttmacher Institute continues to advance s-xual and reproductive health and rights through an interrelated program of research, policy analysis and public education designed to generate new ideas, encourage enlightened public debate and promote sound policy and program development," the company said in a press statement. " The Institute's overarching goal is to ensure the highest standard of s-xual and reproductive health for all people worldwide. The Institute produces a wide range of resources on topics pertaining to s-xual and reproductive health, including Perspectives on s-xual and Reproductive Health, International Perspectives on s-xual and Reproductive Health and the Guttmacher Policy Review." Ref. Mike Wallace Interview With Margaret Sanger Surfaces After Death

Following the death of journalist and reporter Mike Wallace, an interview he conducted with Planned Parenthood founder and eugenicist Margaret Sanger made the rounds across the Internet over the weekend.

Planned Parenthood Sues Texas Over Cutting Taxpayer Funding

Planned Parenthood has filed a lawsuit against the state of Texas for its decision to revoke taxpayer funding for the abortion business in its state family planning program. The pro-abortion group contends that the new law prohibiting it from participating in the Women's Health Program is unconstitutional discrimination.

The lawsuit, filed today in Austin, asks the court for an injunction to stop enforcement of the rules preventing Planned Parenthood from getting taxpayer funding via the program , saying the rules violate their rights by putting an "unconstitutional condition on their participation" in the Women's Health Program.

The lawsuit also alleges the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, which is enforcing the rule, "overstepped its authority in adopting a rule that conflicts with the purpose of the laws that created the program." Ref. Source 8

Is Planned Parenthood Arranging Sex-Selection Abortions?

The Planned Parenthood abortion business believes it is facing another national expose" at the hands of pro-life activist Lila Rose, this time over the potential that it is arranging sex-selection abortions.

Rose is the head of Live Action who has been instrumental in exposing how the nation's biggest abortion business covered up cases of statutory r-pe and sex trafficking by arranging abortions on girls who were victimized. Live Action also exposed how Planned Parenthood would provide erroneous information about fetal development and abortion's risks and alternatives to women.

Live Action also released videotaped footage of calls to 30 Planned Parenthood centers nationwide in 27 different states where abortion facility staff were asked whether or not mammograms could be performed on site. Every one of the Planned Parenthood centers admitted they could not do mammograms. Every Planned Parenthood, without exception, tells the women calling that they will have to go elsewhere for a mammogram, and many clinics admit that no Planned Parenthood clinics provide this breast cancer screening procedure. Congressional Bill Cuts Planned Parenthood Webcam Abortion Funding

A new bill introduced in Congress by a pro-life advocate from Iowa cuts off public funding to abortion clinics, like Planned Parenthood, that engage in the practice of telemed abortions.

Congressman Steve King, an Iowa Republican, introduced the "Telemedicine Safety Act" to respond to the new process by which Planned Parenthood is distributing the dangerous abortion drug RU 486 to women but denying them an in-person consultation with a physician beforehand, as the FDA suggests.
