Marin Cilic - U.S. Open Champion
Marin Cilic of Croatia defeated Kei Nishikori of Japan 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 on Monday to win the men's singles title at the U.S. Open tennis tournament in Flushing, New York.
It was the first Grand Slam singles title for Cilic, the 12th-ranked player in the world. Ref. CNN
