Sony has canceled the December 25 release of "The Interview" After most of the country's large theater chains had decided not to show it.

The decision by Sony follows a threat on Tuesday from anonymous hackers that people should avoid going to theaters to watch "The Interview." The movie's plot involves the attempted assassination of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

"Sony Pictures has been the victim of an unprecedented criminal assault against our employees, our customers, and our business," Sony said in a statement. Ref. CNN

I'm glad Sony Pictures changed their mind. If this movie was shelved because of North Korea then they would start doing this kind of thing even more. Not that this would slow them down, so yes I do expect attacks but at least they will know that a hack will not stop freedom of speech!

Yes, I'm glad Sony did a back flip on this. It would have been the start of something which may not have been able to be reversed in the future.
