Gunmen storm French magazine headquarters
French media reported Wednesday that armed men stormed the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in central Paris before firing automatic weapons that may have left up to 10 dead, although police have so far only confirmed one death, a journalist. French TV station iTele and Reuters, citing an eyewitness, reported that 10 people had been killed. Ref. USAToday

At least 10 people were killed in a shooting inside the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo today, the Paris prosecutor's office said, according to CNN affiliate BFMTV.
At least three police officers were injured, police union spokesman Luc Poignant told BFMTV. Two heavily armed men entered the Charlie Hebdo office and opened fire, Poignant said. The magazine's office was burned three years ago in response to its publication of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed. Ref. CNN
The three suspects in the attack on Charlie Hebdo magazine have been identified, Paris Deputy Mayor Patrick Klugman tells CNN. Two of the suspects are brothers, he said.

This situation has to be dealt with fast and France isn't joking around. We cannot allow terrorist to simply kill people because they don't like what someone publishes. That might work for them in the middle east but not the developed world!
There have been "Several detentions" during the night in connection with the Charlie Hebdo shootings, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said Thursday, not specifying how many. He said earlier the suspected gunmen were still at large and armed. Ref. CNN
The terrorists involved in the Charlie Hebdo massacre are now dead according to CNN. One had surrendered previously, apparently he didn't want to be a 'martyr'.
