Exactly one year ago today, an outlet of El Pecos restaurant on Ariapita Avenue, Woodbrook, Port of Spain was burnt, causing millions of dollars in damage.

Today, AN EXPLOSION at an outlet in Maraval has left 13 people injured. AT least four are in critical condition at the Port of Spain General Hospital. They are being treated for burns, bruises and cuts from flaying shards of glass. Source 1

Trinidad Restaurant Pecos El

TV6 News carried the report. An employee that moved the hose of the leaking pipe is said to be the reason but fire officers are still investigating. Richard Camacho, the owner of El Pecos, was asked about the coincidence between the two fires happening on the same day and he mentioned it being unfortunate.
