What are your thoughts on the appointment of Garvin Nicholas as the New Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago replacing Anand Ramlogan?

Isn't Garvin Nicholas a member of the COP? He also ran against MP Amery Brown in the last election but lost by a very slim margin. Ever since that he was abroad as a diplomat. Its a surprise move to ensure the COP stays with the PP.
