Which in your opinion was the best New Game for the past year 2014?

I must admit I have enjoyed Dying light it does take certain strategy as I play solo so night shift and such are a bit trickier.
I have Destiny it has some major quirks in obtaining higher level gear but it is a challenge to go through as a solo player. I note most get 3 together to do activities but I prefer solo.
Shadow of Mordor also is a strategy game as you take on the Ogre hordes. Die and you promote the ugly that killed you along with the leader above him.
I think I still like the Diablo series best still pounding though Diablo3.
