I don't think Gamma World is defunct, since it's in print again. I've seen new box sets at Barnes & Noble. I didn't pick it up because it's about $50.00, and my ex got custody of all my friends, but somebody must still be playing it...
KenGreen, thanks for the follow up.
Although Gamma World would offer a unique take on a Future Role-playing Game .
I'd really like to see somebody revive Space:1889. It was a steampunk Victorian sci fi game produced by GDW. The only thing I didn't like about it was it used a 1d6 system. I never understood that choice.
Victorian Era Steampunk. I could look into it.
What was wrong, in your opinion, with GDWs d6 system?
Just my two pennies. You know there are loads of Role-playing Games here already, why not just join in one of them? It makes no sense, in my opinion, to create something unless you have a following for it. Rather than ask which game to create you might want to ask which game people will want to play.
I myself, have very little interest in Dungeons & Dragons or any of its many incarnations.
Regardless, I would like to hear your thoughts on a system, a genre, even a game mechanic that you would like to play.
You're probably thinking from the perspective of a GM, but as a player the ones I'm in (Drama, super hero, solo and Dungeons & Dragons) gives me a wide variety of role-play as it is so I can't think about even entertaining another.
