What does it mean for the USA when most of its BIG business are being bought by foreign entities.Is America For Sale?
Is America For Sale?
Budweiser may sell out to a Brazilian firm, top historic places in New York are being bought by other foreign businesses and many other industries are being taken over by external buyers. The US dollar is weak and US citizens are slowing their spending with high gas / oil prices. What is happening to the US, will it collapse under a global market?

Sale America Is
The buying of these large companies by foreign investors is going to end up impacting America the short time nothing will change but over time things are bound to change. I believe that right now America is up for sale. Unless some more people stand up and demand a change the change we get will not please a lot.

$50 billion seems like such an obscene amount of money. To me that only adds insult to injury when we are selling off America piece by piece. Just a few other countries that have sold out: Miller Brewing is owned by a South African company, Ben & Jerry's is owned by a Dutch company, CITGO is owned by a Venezuelan company, The Chrysler Building is owned by Abu Dhabi, 7-Eleven is owned by a Japanese company, there are bridges and toll roads in the U.S. that are owned by foreign companies. At what point do we say enough is enough? Or do we just shrug it off as something we cannot do anything about?

Sale America Is
I am not sure if this is a new thread, but I do think that the sale of A&B might not be as wonderful as InBev thinks. Of course, the markets will be opened and that will help both companies. The consumption and of course the elimination of duplicate jobs will also help the bottom line. However, Budweiser and Bud Light are huge with the NASCAR crowd and they are VERY loyal to American Products. It is a major consumer of the A&B product. I really dont see this group embracing the change of management. That 50% of the US market that A&B had might shrink now that it is foreign owned.
The new "King of American Beers" is the Boston Brewing Co (Samuel Adams) then Yuengling followed by Sierra Nevada. All fine beers...

Sale America Is
I have drank Dud beers for many many years because it was an American owned company. I will finish my last case and then switch to another beer. I do not buy very many things that are owned by a foreign company. I try to buy all American made products. Yes, I read labels closely.
Is America For Sale?
Maybe this will be a big boost to the microbrewery industry. At least then people will know they are getting a home grown American product. They have always made superior beers anyway.
