Green Laws
What laws are established in your country to protect the environment?
I found this: https://www.greenlaws.lsu.edu/greenlawtypes.html
It gives examples of three different "green laws"
They are as follows:
QUOTE |
Tree Ordinances A public law developed to organize municipal urban forestry programs, formulate citizen tree and landscape commissions and regulate the preservation, protection, removal and planting of trees and other landscape features on public land. Post Construction Landscape Ordinances (also known as Landscape Ordinance or Landscape Codes) Public laws, often contained within zoning ordinances or land development codes, requiring public review and approval of landscape design plans for the restoration, preservation or construction of urban landscapes and green spaces in association with new development, re-development and construction. These laws generally regulate landscape design, landscape installation, tree preservation and landscape maintenance on private lands by developing "design components" and "technical standards" that must be followed. Land Development Regulations Comprehensive landscape laws regulating changes to existing land and preventing complete site clearing and habitat destruction. These laws set technical standards for not only landscape design, but habitat preservation, tree protection, tree removal, storm water management, erosion control, wetland preservation, ground water recharge and land clearing. |
