Fifty-two Bad Stories

I was at a writing meetup last night, and somebody there shared this bit of advice:

international QUOTE
"Ray Bradbury once told an aspiring writer to write a story every week. Because nobody can write fifty-two bad stories."

To which my response is, "Challenge Accepted!"

After all, while anybody who's read Bradbury can tell you he was a master storyteller, and certainly knew his business, Mr. Bradbury never had the displeasure of reading the things I write. So I will pick up the gauntlet he has thrown down, and attempt what he deems impossible.

Of course, I'll probably get bored, and give up, like I do everything else, but I might have some laughs before I do.

Does anybody else want to try this? Will anyone else rise to the fifty-two story challenge?

Stories Bad Fifty-two

Good proposal and I like your writing gusto. Hopefully you will not get bored with it as you mentioned.

While a challenge like this could be easily fulfilled by writing 52 children's short stories where most anything goes, you could also easily fulfill this through collaborative writing as a Game Master.

Now, I want to tread carefully here because I do not want to turn this into a Thread about being a Game Master but just to illustrate that each time an entry is written, especially elaborate ones that can be a story of its own or in other words a block of time that could be a story. This can also be segmented into chapters or stages. In the end it will be a 'book' of 52 stories whether good or bad.

You could also write a very elaborate history of a kingdom, planet or galaxy by adding an entry each week. History and details goes each time you write.

You could also take the option of a Blog (We have a section here for both real life and fantasy) and write a short story in it each week. Just some suggestions from a different angle.
