Is the subject of the LGBT Community in Guadeloupe taboo?

What steps are taken to protect those who fall within: LGBT, LGBTQ, LGBTQA, TBL living in Guadeloupe?

People who identify themselves as homosexual are protected by the French law, but despite this it won't change the behavior and tolerance of locals. Harassment is definitely expected but there are people who would keep their views to themselves, unlike other countries which will take more harsh ways to deal with gay people.
