President Yanukovych has called an early vote in a push to end the nation's political crisis, according to reports by the Associated Press and Reuters. Earlier Friday, the Ukrainian president's office said a deal has been reached to resolve the situation following all-night talks with leaders from the opposition and representatives from the European Union and Russia. Ousted Ukrainian president asks for Russian protection
Ukrainian fugitive President Viktor Yanukovych said in a statement published by three Russian news agencies that he is asking Russia's protection from "Extremists."
