Swainson’s Hawks

Swainson's hawk migration in full swing

The annual migration of Swainson’s hawks is in full swing, with thousands of the birds having flown through the Borrego Valley in recent weeks on their way to Canada. Volunteers counted more than 1,600 one day this week. Ref. Source 7d.
