QUOTE SCOTIA, N.Y. - State police have charged a Schenectady man with trying to hire another man to stab his 19-year-old pregnant ex-girlfriend to kill her baby. Alexei Ramey was charged with two felony conspiracy counts. He was arraigned in the Village of Scotia court and jailed on $100,000 bail pending another court appearance on Oct. 7. Police say a tip led investigators to set up a meeting with Ramey, who allegedly offered an undercover cop $500 and a pressure washer to stab the woman, who was eight-and-a-half months pregnant....
