*Hearing a woman scream from upstairs Egwene says to the brute causing her so much annoyance*

Sounds like your woman is in trouble and in need of yer aid, are ye such a daft fool that you'd let some traveler ravage your wench without protecting what is yours?

*With the barbarian distracted by the scream, Egwene once again slips out of his grip and out of his reach. Wondering if her fellow travelers are in need of aid she moves toward the stairs, keeping one eye on her own troubles."

*Watching the vile beast make a hasty departure upstairs, Egwene quickly grabs her staff and follows at a safe distance. Having concern for her missing party members she wonders how much damage one of her attack spells would do to this behemoth and hopes she will not need to take on both brutes at once.*

*Being stopped by the madame once again Egwene looks up the stairs and sighs. Realizing she would not be much of a match against the two barbarians but not being one to abandon her companions she turns back to the woman barring her way she says*

My companions be upstairs putting coin in your pocket but I fear they will be getting more than they paid for from those raging brutes. You seem to know them, what can ye tell me that might help me friends? Your help would well appreciated.*

Egwene turns toward the bar at the sound of glass breaking and the barkeep's curses. Accepting that she is not going to get upstairs to help her companions with the onslaught she surveys the room looking to see if there are any threats she should be concerned with down here. She pays particular attention to the wench with the raucious laugh and the stranger in the corner.

*Egwene eyes the two wenches, rolls her eyes and shrugging them off as she has no interest in their schoolgirl games, she says*

You best be tending to your own duties and fetch me another ale.

*Egwene then takes a seat against the wall where she can watch the stairs and the door for anything that may catch her attention.*
