EU: Ireland gave illegal tax benefits to Apple

Ireland gave illegal tax benefits to Apple, the European Union said Tuesday. It said Apple must repay up to $14.5 billion. The EU has long contended deals made by Ireland with multinational companies such as Apple constitute illegal state aid. Ref. USAToday.
