ThorosAndir the Swordsman

Thoros-Andir, or just Thoros as he prefers, stands at 6"2 tall and, while towering, he is lean and athletic. He keeps his chestnut brown hair shortly cropped in a military fashion, but often tends to let his threadbare beard grow rough and unkempt. He has a narrow handsome face, chiseled jawline and hawkish nose below a narrow set of steel blue eyes and bushy eyebrows.

In relation to garb, Thoros prefers not the flamboyant or dazzling common silks and jewellery of the local aristocrats and merchants but instead his garments usually consist of simple earthtone leathers, bucklers and trappings of functional travelling attire. He is often seen wearing a plain, tanned leather chestpiece with cast iron bracers and shin guards, dusty black leather knee high boots and rider's gloves finally framed in a slate gray cloak and hood simple and unadorned.

While growing up Thoros-Andir developed of close relationship with his mother, but had always felt vacant and unfulfilled with his absent father figure. He would spend a tremendous amount of time at the local guard barracks and garrison, jesting and learning from his father's friends and fellow soldiers. His love of a warriors lifestyle consumed him with each passing year into adulthood, so much so that this became more training regiment than idle fancy. Quick with the blade, agile, determined and very capable was he in his martial prowess but also easy to taunt and goad into mistakes. Frustrated easily, he oftentimes would become very impatient at his own ineptitude and lash out in fits of anger and fury - very unlike his normally calm, composed and light mannerisms and personality.

It was at this standing in his life that he had decided for himself that, against his mother's discontent, he would enlist in the town's local watch and formally begin his military career and training with hopes and aspirations to rise through the ranks, and perhaps one day earn rank and command of his own on the battlefield, in the shadow of his unknown father.

His meeting with the enlistment recruiter was scheduled for the day following the celebration his mother had prepared for him, when Thoros life would shift tragically and suddenly as he would be thrust truly into the world that lay before him.
