Trump confirms he is 'considering' placing illegal immigrants in sanctuary cities because Dems are 'unwilling' to change immigration laws. The president said Friday he’s considering such a move because he says Democrats won’t make changes to the country’s immigration laws. The president’s statement in a tweet confirms reporting Thursday that the White House tried on multiple occasions to pressure immigration authorities into releasing migrants on the streets of sanctuary cities. I know why he does it but I don't like it. On one hand you are trying to deter many illegal immigrants from entering the USA but at the same time you are punishing the children who did not choose to come because they can only follow what their parents tell them to do. This needs to stop now. I think a judge ruled on this already and I'm still seeing it happening. Is Trump's administration above the law?

ICE to begin nationwide immigration raids Sunday

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement plans to begin raids across the country Sunday to arrest thousands of family members who already have court orders to be removed, according to a US official.

The effort comes weeks after President Donald Trump had tweeted ICE's plans to conduct the raids, then delayed the operation after additional details became public. Ref. CNN.

Trump admin announces rule that could limit legal immigration. The Trump administration released a regulation Monday that could dramatically cut the number of legal immigrants allowed to enter and stay in the US by making it easier to reject green card and visa applications.

Paired with last week's enforcement raids on food processing plants in Mississippi, Monday's announcement amounts to a concerted effort by the administration to limit legal immigration and crack down on illegal immigration.

The 837-page rule applies to those seeking to come to or remain in the United States via legal channels. Ref. CNN.
