Would you wear Thrift Shop Clothing if it was something in fashion?

It would depend upon the condition of the clothing I suppose. My aunt once wore a $3 designer dress she picked up at a thrift store to the Governor's Ball. Nobody was the wiser. She had searched all the upscale boutiques and could not find anything she liked. She happened across the perfect designer dress at Salvation Army while dropping off a donation. There is not much difference buying from a thrift store and buying vintage from a consignment shop. You just have to keep your eyes open for quality bargains.

I won't wear thrift shop clothing just because it is used clothing and I don't know where its been or what the person was doing in it if you get what I mean.

I buy clothes from the thrift shops as it is a good discount place to get clothes. First thing I do with them is put them through the wash to get any unwanted germs out of them. smile.gif

Yup I also buy fabric there to make quilts and stuff. Soap and hot water kill any bugs that might be creeping about. I got a nice denim jacket looked like it was never worn from there. Five bucks beat 150 in my books.

Pride is just a fools folly, good clean not worn out clothing keeps me warm.

With five kids it is a lot easier to cloth them with stuff from a thrift shop than buying a bunch of new clothes at the mall.

If you look at it that way then I guess its all well and all that but the way I see it is if someone was molested in that pair of jeans I don't want to be wearing it. Thats what I meant by where its been.

Redlips I also think men do tend to look more to the practicality of an issue rather then any possible emotional ties to an item like clothing. Not sure if that is spiritually right but a trend.
